This story follows Gibran a black student in 1995, and Kevin, a black student in 1968. The story goes back and forth from their POVs. I am already invested in both characters. This book shows the parallels of the racism both of these boys experience in school even though they are almost 30 years apart. I can’t wait to finish this book!
