From the first few pages you will be sucked in to Gibran's emotions and surroundings. You see the same thing when it flips to Kevin's viewpoint as well. I think the author does an incredible job of showing us rather than telling us about the situation. I also really loved the front cover and how it has the two parallel timelines.
