I love a book set in dual timelines so this definitely appeals on that level. I also think it’s incredibly important to discuss the systemic racism that has been occurring throughout our history, not just in these time periods but in our current one. Also, unrelated to the excerpt, but some of these reviews do NOT pass the vibe check. Maybe consider what the author is trying to say here, regardless if this book is “for you” before slamming it over your own literal racism.
