I found this to be an interesting look at race relations, especially since the two POVs were from different historical perspectives. The issues that Gibran and Kevin face now seem like things that would, of course, be terrible and need to be rectified but weren’t seen that way at the times. It makes the reader stop and think about how things are currently and what might need to change.
