To be honest, I first thought that this is a coming-of-age YA story since I don't read synopsis but after reading the first few chapters of this, I can say that this is vying as one of the most important and insightful releases of 2023.
We all know the history of African-American living in US in the 60s and the author was able to narrate it through the lens of two young adults, thirty years apart.
I'm excited to read more about Kevin and Gibran's thoughts about the events that surround them during their era - and how their opinion will either clash or aligne.
