All You Have to Do by Autumn Allen has a lot of strong elements: a great cover that really reflects the book's contents, a dual timeline that broadens the story's appeal, and the always intriguing "prestigious academic institution" hook. However, for a young adult novel, this First Look gets off to a rather slow start. The author includes elements from history that are important for context but bog down the pace and delay what the novel's really "about." I hope the rest of the book picks up because it does seem like a really worthwhile read!
