I love all of Emily Giffins books and was most excited to read this one. Instead of the comedic romance with a twist story, this one is more serious and relatable. I love reading stories about parents dealing with their children and how they parent. As a parent myself, I find it inspirational and very true to life. It's a small glimpse into what the future can hold for someone like myself, with a preeteen and a preschooler. As I was reading the first few chapters, I couldn't help to think about my kids, and if I would feel how the father did when his daughter messed up, or as a failure for not instilling the faults of peer pressure into my children's minds. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this novel!
