Familiar with Emily Giffin's books, I was pleasantly surprised by the tone of this book. The book was noticeably darker than her other books, but in a good and meaningful way. I constantly found myself reflecting on what I would do if I was the main character (Nina) and found out that my son was behind posting an inappropriate sexual picture of a passed out girl at a party. How do you grapple with the fact that your child, the person you love most in all of the world, is responsible for such a horrid act? This book is an emotional, thought-provoking mind that resonated with me deeply. It is being released at just the right time as well with women's rights and sexual harassment being at the forefront of American culture.
