This was only the second or third book by Emily Giffin I have read. I find her writing easy breezy to read as well as her style. While the books I have read in the past have been categorized as "Chick Lit", All We Ever Wanted was not that.

Told through the eyes of two parents and one of the teenagers, it tells the story of teenagers and what teenagers in the 21st century go through. The part that was so frustrating to me is how the parents reacted and their lack of discipline and punishment. They left it up to the school to be the disciplinarian. They are the PARENTS! They should be disciplining their children! If the school wishes to also discipline them, that is one thing, but to be the parents and decide that it isn't their job to be parents make me so sick by the end of this book just can't help but dislike it.
