All We Ever Wanted begins with a innapropriate photo posted on social media about a girl from private high school along with a racist comment. The book has three perspectives: Tom, Nina and Lyla.

It portrays some interesting dilemma when addressing to some socially polemic topics such as social media, sexuat harassment, power and wealth. Emily talks about them without being heavy-theme, even though some of them being tough subjects. It is a fast read and thought-provoking book that describes very well a casual occasion that can take place anywhere, anytime.

It was my first reading of Emily Giffin and I found it very relevant since the subject is so modern and sort of society's reality. She handled well the story with smart mind.

Going deeply, I loved how the characters were developed: they were rich and real with their flaws. Sometimes I got angry with Lyla because I thought she was being selfish not understanding his father, but then I've learned to like every character (except for Kirk). I loved Nina since the beginning: she is a moral character which find herself throughtout the book, furthermore, I liked her instinct interaction with Tom.

The ending is unpredictable and I enjoyed a lot.
