With All We Ever Wanted, is tackling a subject that most would find in a non-fiction book, that leaves the reader with a feeling of a textbook. Emily Griffin brings in Nina and Tom to give the audience emotion of those in the secondary affects of sexual assault. How does the parent of the victim deal with the aftermath versus the attacker. The financial standing of the two families seems to also be an issue and the fact that their is also a single parent and a two parent household that comes in to play as well. I want to read more of this to know who is going to be caring the guilt in this story, how are these parents going to protect their children? Being a survivor I never think about what my mother has had to go through and how she could have dealt with all this. I am thankful that such a book exists out there and that someone is brave enough to touch on a topic that is way to familiar in the headlines these days. Without this preview from BookishFirst, I would not know how much I need to read this book.
