This is my first book by Emily Griffin and I am certainly planning on reading more. From the beginning this story just got better and better with each chapter. There are three main characters, Nina, Lyla, and Tom, who alternate chapters as they explain events from their own point of view. Nina is the woman who has it all. A rich devoted husband, a son just accepted into Princeton and a life most can only dream about. One moment, one bad choice that her son makes, has turned her world upside down. Nina realizes that her perception of perfection was totally untrue. Then there is Lyla. A young teen who is a victim in this story. Her father Tom is the third voice and he is doing his best parenting Lyla as a single parent. I like Emily Griffin’s writing style. I felt like I was in each character’s head when the chapter was theirs. The ending was suspenseful and not what I expected. I recommend All We Ever Wanted to anyone who is looking for their next good book to read. My copy of this book came from Bookish First. This is my unbiased review.
