All We Ever Wanted is excellent. Although this story revolves around modern technology (an unfortunate photo that spread like wildfire throughout an elite prep-school population), it is a twist on an unfortunate type of situation that has gone on throughout the decades. It is now fairly common place that teenagers find themselves in sticky situations stemming from social media use/abuse. This is a story that had to be told and Emily Giffin told it marvelously.
This was my first time reading a book by Emily Giffin and I was blown away. All We Ever Wanted is a book about being a teenager, about marriage and parenting, money, sex and power, racism, and misogyny. This is definitely a novel that should be taken seriously.
