I loved this newest book by Emily Giffin.

Slightly different from her other novels, this book takes you into the heart of two families and the struggles caused by one fateful evening. The growth of the characters (and lack thereof for others) was beautiful to witness.

Nina Browning is the mother of an affluent teenage son who is beginning to share the entitled mentality his father has developed after selling his software company. Tom Volpe is a single father trying to navigate raising a teenage daughter. Both teenagers go to a private High School where most of the students live a privileged life and getting to the bottom of what happened on the night at the heart of the story is difficult as many of the students close ranks.

The novel takes place in Nashville so it was especially dear to me. The characters were richly developed and easy to relate to. I highly recommend checking this book out. I read it in less than 24 hours.
