Let me start off by saying, I read this book in one sitting. As a mother, I immediately felt a connection to Nina and to Tom. Both parents who wanted nothing but the best for their children. What happens though when one of your children is a spoilt, entitled, criminal. Add to that the fact, said child has a parent who will lie to get that chi,d out of trouble. I admire how Nina strives to be a “good” person and in the end is able to be the woman she strives to be. Spoiler alert: I’m glad she and Tom became best friends and were able to put their talents to good use by helping less fortunate children.

It begs to question what kind of parent would we choose to be and how far would we go to protect our children.
