This was my first book by this author and I was not disappointed in the least!
This story will have your emotions and thoughts all over the spectrum, especially if you have children. I am not from an affluent family so I cannot compare that part of the situation, however I am a mother, I have a son.
This book was kind of all over the place with all of the different points of view and I did get a little lost at times and had to go back to re-read a few paragraphs.
I am not a fan of high school story lines and drama, but this one focused on more than that. There are consequences to actions (I am currently trying to get my son to understand this); every action has a reaction; just because your friends do something does not mean you need to be a part of it; if you know its wrong, don't continue on the path....all of these things have a huge role in our lives and All We Ever Wanted is an amazing story of family, survival and just how unjustified one can feel when wealth and privilege are a constant in one's life, and how that can be overcome.
