Once again, I read another adult fiction book that wasn’t exactly the type I enjoy to read on a regular basis. I’ve actually never read an Emily Giffin book, but the fact that it dealt with topics that I enjoy reading about - class, sexual assault, privilege - and good reviews I decided to pick it up and try it out for myself. I was pleasantly surprised!

When I first started reading this book, I was already annoyed at all the racist and sexist comments popping up without them being challenged, but I’m glad that the ended up being addressed. This book made me extremely angry at times, not because of the book itself, but that what was happening was so unfair. This book was also well-written and fast-paced; I unexpectedly read it in a day.

I had issues with the ending, but overall, a pretty good read.
