Sounds like something I would like to read
We are introduced to two families in this brief introductory segment. Nina and Kirk Browning are wealthy and upper class. They have a teenage son who attends a private school and sounds like a -- well -- a teenager! They live a life of privilege.
We are also introduced to a single father named Tom who is the father of a daughter, Lila. Lila and her father interact as one might expect a teen and a parent to behave. With difficulty.
At the end of the introductory piece something has happened at a party that Lila and perhaps also the Browning's son. It appears that alcohol has caused trouble.
The book has a very easy, free-flowing and extremely readable third person point of view that drew me into the book. I would like to read it and discover what has happened -- and what will happen -- to these two families
