I have to admit – I lost my love to Emily Giffin and haven’t read her books in a while. Thankfully I gave this book a try! This follows two families, the Brownings and the Volpes as they are thrown together following the effects of one drunken night. The Brownings are living the good life and some. As wealthy as Nina Browning is, she still wonders how much she has changed since marrying into money. Tom Volpe is doing his best as a single dad to raise Lyla. Tom is so proud of the scholarship Lyla earned to attend the elite high school but wonders if and how she will fit in. One can only imagine the effect of these two families dealing with the same crisis.
