Right away I can identify with the characters of Nina and Tom and struggles they have with raising Finch (Nina's son) and Lyla (Tom's daughter). As most parents can relate, the dynamic between the parent and child can change over time. But most good parents want to be there for their kids as they make their way through life. You can see that something is going to happen to bring each other into their respective lives because of the actions of their children. However, you can already tell that neither Nina or Tom will abandon their children and become their biggest supporter. I interested to see how this story will play out and how all these lives intersect.
