As much as I feel like Emily Giffin is a household name among contemporary fiction fans, I've never read one of her books. I thought that sample to All We Ever Wanted was so readable and the set up of the story has me interested in what comes next. Already we're faced with two families who are on different sides of the class spectrum but both their children attend the same private school. In this excerpt we are merely teased with the conflict and get a small glimpse of what went down on one fateful night, but it's perfect for whetting my appetite to read the rest of the book. If I had to start somewhere with Emily Giffin, All We Ever Wanted seems like a good place.
