All We Ever Wanted is a strong story about parents trying to do the right thing. Communication is so important. Being wealthy, sending your children to the best schools money can buy doesn’t guarantee that they will be what you think they should be. Somehow, they have their own way of growing up. It is so important to spend time with them and be aware of their friends. Watch for changes in their personality. Try to guide them. And then you have to be lucky that they find the right way. Listen to them. Go to school and talk to their teachers. Do family things together. Encourage them to think of others. Money alone can be a really bad thing. Children hear and see a lot more than you realize. Single parents have a particularly tough time trying to guide their children. Group activities would be a good thing. Still, the most important thing of all is to listen and support them. And if you think something is wrong get help. Talk to your physician, or maybe your religious leader. Don’t be afraid to seek help before it is too late.
