I could not put it down. I had to read this story until the very end. I found the characters easily relatable. I loved that there was dual perspectives in this story. I also loved that the characters personalities really showed throughout the story.
I loved the main characters Emily and Elizabet. Emily and Elizabet were the same but different in the way they lost a loved one and chose to hold in their grief and not express it but in the end found their own way to grieve and move on with their lives.
I also enjoyed hearing about the history of the church in Seattle. I found that some of the time I had to stop and think about the history that was told of the church because the church that I go to where I live is going through the motions of changing with the congregation without the legal battle.
I would highly recommend reading this book and I am looking forward to reading other books by this author.
