I don't really normally read historical fiction, but something about this book happened to catch my eye and I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did! Even though it wasn't like what I normally read, I really enjoyed it and sped through it quickly. Contrasting from 2015 to 1935, this book is the story of two women joined together through time who strive to save a historic chapel. The dual perspective, while sometimes annoying to me, worked well in this book, and I fell in love with both characters. The writing is very engaging and easy to read, and could be quite lovely at times. While the plot was a little hallmark-y for my tastes, it was still an enjoyable book and this did not really hinder my enjoyment of it very much. Overall, it was a very nice book to spend a comfy Saturday afternoon reading, and I'm glad I gave it a chance! If you like historical fiction you'll be sure to love this book!
