I love both historical fiction and contemporary fiction so whenever I see a book featuring both, I just have to read it! While I didn't particularly like how the book began, I loved the setting of this book. The characters seem likeable but I would need to read more about them to see how I feel. I do believe that the cover was wonderfully related (I just hate covers that don't relate to the content at all). Overall, I would love to read more about Emily and Elizabet (especially since she wasn't mentioned just yet).
