Sometimes authors over describe and it becomes a distraction for this reader. This was the case in All That Was by Tanya E. Williams. The story had much potential, but it became over-dramatized, melodramatic, almost immediately. I appreciate description to set the tone and place of the narrative, but it shouldn’t eclipse the story.
