The writing is descriptive, crisp, and kept my attention. But one thing kept gnawing at me... her emotions are WAY over the top due to the fact that TEN YEARS have passed since losing her parents. Her freaking out over a dinner convo about them and rushing to the bathroom to recover would be understandable if their deaths were more recent. It's just too much after a DECADE...too overdramatic.
