Quite different from her Ember in the Ashes series. I feel that it’s more contemporary and definitely intriguing. From a immigrant perspective will love to see how all this characters will find the strength and confidence to make a life regardless of whatever comes their way. I’m sure they will as from reading the first pages they all come across as strong and brave even if a little broken and sometimes to respectful of age and tradition. Curious to see if any of this characters will find out that you have to be selfish sometimes to actually make a difference in your and other peoples life.
I supposed this is not a series but it has enough strength for an amazing stand alone even from the first two or three pages.
