Wow! I'm a huge fan of books where the characters culture is well written and explained. I was immediately drawn in by the relationship between Sal and Noor. I absolutely loved the switch between the narrators and the leap of time from Then and Now. While I don't have any triggers, I appreciated the authors trigger warnings. I'm not much of a cover person but it was beautiful and from the first impression, fits the story well. Thank you for a first look!
