I haven't read anything from Sabaa Tahir at this point, but what I've heard is that she's extremely good at writing dynamic characters and establishing their relationships. This book seems no different. I appreciate the "then" and "now" timelines and am interested to know just how Salahudin and Noor's friendship develops and how they rely on each other to survive their struggles.
