The cover of this novel has me hooked, the title started to reel me in, and the author secured the catch. What an intriguing start to a character-driven tale. I love that Tahir jumps between past and present, interspersing detail and history to the present characters. The writing is pithy without losing the beauty and witty voice of the characters
