Unfortunately this book just wasn’t for me. I could really appreciate it but I just tend to not enjoy nonfiction. I’m also very picky with it.
I was so excited when I won this off BookishFirst but once I read it, I felt bad that I didn’t enjoy it. I really wanted to because it sounded so interesting. Unfortunately it just felt really flat and just wasn’t for me.
This book does have great rep and a great storyline behind it. It was so interesting following this plot and what happened. Unfortunately the LGBTQ+ Community has to go through so much and this story expressed that. I did really enjoy that part of the story and loved that.
Therefore I’m going middle of the road with this one. I loved some parts but some parts just weren’t for me. The overall story was good, but the intended audience for it will definitely enjoy it much more than I did, still a great story!
