Laura Hall's "Affliction" might be a good book for some. It just didn't grab me. I would've been a lot more engaged if it was her father's memoir, but her memoir of living with her father...I just didn't find it worth reading. A longish article detailing her experiences as a child of a parent who remained closeted her entire childhood I can see, but an entire memoir doesn't seem worth the effort to engage in reading it.
