Affliction sounds like an emotional story. Ralph had to hide who he was for many decades. It must have been difficult and lonely to have been taught that who you are is shameful, and to have to hide your true self. Living a closeted life must have affected his whole family. I’m glad that Laura Hall has told her father’s story.
