Based off of the excerpt, I thought I had a pretty good grasp on this book's plot, but I couldn't have been more wrong! Ace of Spades was an intense, gripping, fast-paced, thriller that I wasn't expecting whatsoever! After I started, I genuinely could not put it down.
This book explores so many important themes in such a skillful way, and the mystery aspect was really intriguing. Information is slowly revealed, then all at once, and it makes for an amazing read.
I also really enjoyed find the epilogue, and I think it wrapped up the book nicely while also being just open-ended enough.
Overall, I could not recommend this book more! Àbíké-Íyímídé is truly skilled at her craft and I'm eagerly anticipating more work from her.
