I read this book last year and I really liked it! The investigation of who was behind the targeting of the two students kept me reading chapter after chapter. I love dark academia books and this one that discusses racism was thrilling throughout. Chiamaka is a strong character that I looked up to while reading. I loved reading each chapter from a different character's perspective. The LGBTQ+ representation was also powerful as well! Even though this book was 470 pages, it read through this book in almost no time and I felt captivated throughout the story. The last few chapters were even more captivating. It addressed white supremacy, homophobia, and elitism in a moving way. The writing style of the author was powerful and each character was unique with how they interacted with each other in the story and their own inner monologues.
