Wow, just wow. I see this book be described as get out meets gossip girl but since i havent watched gossip girl i cant say. The book is just amazingly written. It had me on the edge of my seat, had me feeling the rage and sadness that the characters went through. it's dual pov from both chiamika and devon. And as always anything with bipoc or queer representation i must get, this had both bipoc AND queer characters and it was amazing to see the author's input. the book incorporated issues such as classism, racism and homophobia which is always great to read and learn about in order to try and reform and correct such behavior. Who doesnt love queer black characters working to take down the systemic racism that many institutions embrace.Just amazing and no doubt would be the read of the summer. I loved the book so much and im greatful to have won an arc from bookishfirst
