Ace of Spades is an addicting and heartbreaking book that will make you think and hopefully open the eyes of readers to the way the world can be. This is a book centered closely on race with a compelling story that will grasp your heart from the first page and squeeze until you feel like you’ve felt everything there is to feel and still language to find more. I loved the representation in this. Aside from a book about race during a time when you can’t close your eyes to what’s going on in the world it is a gripping thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. You spend time doubting your impression of people and hoping for the best no matter how many times you have been let down. A book you have to read at least twice just to see all the clues you have missed. I recommend this for everyone.
