this book was one of the most impactful and hard hitting books i've ever read. the representation was wonderfully done, and the twists and turns were both shocking and devastating. this book was also incredibly well-written. the characters were well developed, interesting, and multi-faceted. i found it very compelling and also disappointing how basically every single one of the side characters turned out to be a bad person/betray our main characters. overall, this book was just very deeply impactful and did not pull it's punches, which i appreciated. i did find that the pacing felt a little bit off, and i wanted just a little bit more from the very end. i did appreciate the epilogue. i also really liked the differing experiences of queerness that our two main characters had and went through over the course of the book. i think this is an incredibly important read that i would recommend to everyone.
