I'm such a sucker for private school and boarding school set stories. It's that long lasting love of Harry Potter, I'm sure. The first couple chapters introduce so much potential drama with an intriguing plot. There's Devon, not exactly unpopular but not popular either, kind of a fly on the way. Good grades and skill, but not popular. Then there's Chia, who I was surprised to see that we get POV chapters from her point of view, considering how Devon was saying that if the other prefects are main characters, she's the protagonist. She's clearly shaping up to be a protagonist, though I certainly hope Devon will continue to be the protagonist. I was wondering why the excerpt was so short, only about twenty pages, but then I saw where it left off! It really hyped me up to read more and I can't wait to do so!
