As a future educator, a year away from getting her degree, I am always looking for books that would be fitting in a secondary schools classroom setting. THIS IS IT!

This book shows black excellence and not only are the two main characters black, that is not their only struggle like in most books. There is depth to the characters. I also appreciate the hints at LGBT representation for black men, because that has been something that my list has been lacking.

Now onto my personal opinion. The writing was super fast paced and I loved the illusion of perfection. The authors plays on the ideas of 'perfects' when everyone has secrets threatening to spill out. I cannot wait to read the rest and to see how the main characters use their wits to survive it all.

The cover is amazing, absolutely stunning. It really encompasses what the book is about. I just wish it had a little bit of a sinister atmosphere about it since the books characters have to be worried about this little game they're playing.
