I love that this novel is in alternating perspectives between Devon and Chiamaka. I love how it just dove into the story, setting up the characters' traits and story along the way. I feel like I am getting immersed into the plot, main characters, and setting right on the very first page. Cannot wait to read more to see how each character's story develops and weaves together.
