Right from the beginning, I loved Devon's dry humor and related to his feelings on assemblies (which I started growing tired of as the years went by), being lost in his own world (I like to THINK I'm in the loop but really, I'm not), and having only one friend. I do think that it'll take me a little longer to warm up to Chiamaka but I think that has a lot to do with how this book led with Devon. Speaking of Devon, that last sentence of the preview?? I'm really curious to see how everything will play out. Overall a strong first impression and I'm even more excited for the release! I know this book is going to take the world by storm.

Also it seems I can never write a First Impression without mentioning the art but the covers (both US and UK) are STUNNING. The art that Faridah has shared? Perfection.
