The cover is eye-catching with the bold red like a playing card. I like the design and how it's laid out. The synopsis is definitely intriguing with the premise that the only two black students in the school are targeted. The excerpt started off fast-paced, getting into the plot rather quickly, or at least hinting at it. One thing I felt was lacking was a bit better description of the school, which felt Harry Potter-ish with the talk of prefects - as an American who went to public school, I'm unfamiliar with abroad private schools. So it would have been nice to have some more context. But this story seems to have promise for those who enjoy YA thriller-like books.
