After getting a first look at the first three chapters of Ace of Spades, I feel like I'm having deja-vu. Granted I have only read the first three chapters, but they felt very similar to a lot of the young adult novels I have read recently. Hopefully, as the reader gets deeper into the story, some different elements are revealed to make the story a bit more unique.
