I am intrigued -- and happy -- to see novels that not only introduce complex, people of color characters that are written by people of color. I want novels that discuss how diverse populations handle everyday situations for a teen. There is a plethora of YA books from white perspectives. Now, I have an opportunity to read/share different perspectives of teenagers' lives.
