I've been interested in this book since hearing it was dark academia, and the first few chapters did not disappoint. They alternate between the perspectives of the two main characters--Devon and Chiamaka. So far, their voices are very distinct and unique to their points of view, which I always appreciate in dual perspective books. The book also jumps straight into the intricate social dynamics of Niveus Academy, which resemble those of schools I've gone to and certainly have me interested in reading more. The new headmaster gives off some strange vibes, so I imagine he will come into play when the thriller plot line is fleshed out more.
