What I liked the most is the casual tone used throughout the book. Ace of spades definitely accomplished in creating a sense of familiarity in the whole high school scene, making it perfect for teens, not to mention the references used like 'bfg' by Roald Dahl and 'Edna Mode' from the Incredibles was undoubtedly the cherry on top. I did also enjoy the perspective given of the 'scholarship kid' in a sea full of riches as well as diversity in characters, it definitely creates a sense of relatability to readers like us. And the difference between the two main characters got me wondering how the two personalities would intertwine with each other. And I have to add, the book cover is gorgeous! the design is so creative and the colours make the book catch your eye immediately.
