The cover is great and definitely goes with the title. It gives me a clear understanding of what the main characters look like, which I always appreciate. Right from the beginning, I was hooked. The cut throat private school setting, writing style, alternating point of views, and relatable characters are everything! I like how the story picked up almost right away, easily keeping me entertained, and I can definitely relate to Devon’s awkward personality and Chiamaka’s desire and determination to be perfect. Another thing I love is how Chiamaka is a feminist! I will never stop looking forward to reading books with strong female protagonists, especially those who are people of color. Can’t wait to find out what happens next!
