I didn't really get the impression that this was a thriller from the synopsis, except where it claims to be one. I enjoy young adult fiction but high school/prep school stories aren't something I typically enjoy.
The sample was well-written, but there wasn't much to convince me that this story would be something I should read over books with a similar setting.
I like the cover and would have picked it up off the shelf of a book store to sample it.
